Restoring oral health since 1989
Patients accepted into the Maryland Foundation of Dentistry (MFD) program are referred to a volunteer dentist who assesses their dental needs. Referrals to dental specialists are made if necessary. A dental treatment regimen is conducted that results in a patient’s oral health and dental function being restored. Services that are performed include bridges, cleanings, crowns, dentures, cavity fillings, root canals, and tooth extractions. MFD does not offer emergency or cosmetic services or dental implants. MFD also partners with dental laboratories that make dental products at significantly discounted rates with the nonprofit covering these expenses.
